Inverness Castle. Built in 1835. Sits on a cliff overlooking the River Ness. Made of a red sandstone structure.

A list a mile long of castles have stood on this site since 1057. Many seiges have taken place here. One of notable record was in 1562. Mary, Queen of Scots, was denied entry into the castle. Two Clans overtook the castle for the Queen. Clan Munro and Clan Fraser.

The current castle was built in 1835 with improvisions – Gas, Light, and Water Systems were installed.
